Which format is right for you? Karndean Designflooring offers three types of luxury vinyl flooring to suit your design preferences and installation needs: gluedown, loose lay and rigid core.

While any of our formats can be installed in any room of the home, you may be wondering what the differences are between each of these formats and how you know which one is right for you.

Rigid core is a type of floating floor that clicks and locks into place and can be floated over most existing hard floors - no adhesive necessary. 

Our rigid core ranges are: Korlok Select, Korlok Reserve, Van Gogh and Knight Tile.

Loose lay is our format of non-interlocking, floating floors that allow for different installation patterns, but cannot be combined with our design strips and borders.
