Originally introduced in 2016, this refresh builds on our products’ versatility and durability with 20 timber inspired designs. On-trend timber looks include fresh European-inspired oak boards and a beautiful collection celebrating the distinctive characteristics of Australian hardwood species.

The LooseLay Longboard range complements the LooseLay Originals range that features 18 wood-look planks and 12 stone-inspired tiles in eight thoughtfully curated collections. The loose lay format is popular not just because of the beautiful design choices. Our K-Wave® friction grip backing holds the product in place using a combination of weight and friction. This means there’s no clicking and no locking and only a minimal amount of Hi-Tack Pressure Sensitive adhesive is required.
Transforming any space is fast and easy as LooseLay Longboard can be installed over most existing hard floors. At 250mm wide and 1.5m in length, the planks are the longest across our product range. Without the need for transition strips or expansion gaps, your chosen design can be seamlessly carried between rooms and throughout your space. The loose lay format also provides the versatility for incorporating multiple timber colours and laying planks in herringbone or diagonal patterns.
Our acoustic performance is beautiful too
Compared with hardwood, stone and laminate flooring, Karndean Loose lay is significantly quieter underfoot. It’s engineered to meet strict acoustic rating standards and delivers an impressive noise transfer reduction between rooms. Loose lay is suitable for apartments and where you want to reduce noise transfer between floors or under stairs.
